中国科学院西双版纳热带植物园首届生物信息学培训班(课程主题:生物信息学与组学数据分析)将于2025年2月10日至14日举办。本次课程将涵盖生物信息学的基本原理、基因组和转录组NGS数据分析以及群体基因组学分析的内容。每日培训包括3小时的理论课程和4小时的实践练习,最后一天学生将有时间用自己的研究课题和数据,与老师探讨分析方案。我们希望在培训结束后,每个参与者都能熟练地使用这些知识和方法,并将其适当地应用于自己的研究中。
The 1st Bioinformatics Workshop "Introduction to bioinformatics and omics data analysis" will take place in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The course content comprises a series of topics that cover the fundamental principles of bioinformatics, genomic and transcriptomic analyses of NGS data, and analyses in population genomics. Each day of the workshop includes 3 hours of theory and 4 hours of practice, while the last day is entirely dedicated to the research topics of the students to facilitate their advancement. We hope that after the training, each participant will be able to use this knowledge and these methods proficiently and apply them appropriately to their own research.

The transportation to and from the Xishuangbanna Botanical Garden, and the board and lodging expenses during the training period are at the students' own expense.

Guillem Ylla 研究员
雅盖隆大学生物信息学和基因组学实验室组长
博士毕业于CSIC庞培法布拉大学进化生物学研究所,随后在佛罗里达大学和哈佛大学担任博士后职位。目前任职于波兰雅盖隆大学生物信息学和基因组学实验室组长。Ylla具有丰富的生物技术教学经验和生物信息学的专业知识,他在将计算工具应用于进化和发展研究方面拥有丰富的经验。目前在雅盖隆大学教授“AT4BR-生物信息学研究高级工具包”课程。
Guillem Ylla completed his PhD in Biomedicine at the Institute of Evolutionary Biology, CSIC - Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain), followed by postdoctoral positions at the University of Florida (Gainesville, US) and Harvard University (Cambridge, US). Currently, he is the leader of the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Genome Biology at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Biotechnology at Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland).
Dr. Ylla is broadly trained in Biotechnology, with expertise in Bioinformatics and experience in applying computational tools to the study of evolution and development. He teaches the course "AT4BR - Advanced Toolkit for Bioinformatics Research" at Jagiellonian University.

Tomasz Gaczorek 博士后

Tomasz Gaczorek completed his PhD in the Genomics and Experimental Evolution Group at Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland). Currently, Dr. Gaczorek is a postdoctoral fellow in the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Genome Biology and assists Dr. Ylla with the course 'AT4BR - Advanced Toolkit for Bioinformatics Research.

Evgenii Baiakhmetov 特别研究助理
中国科学院西双版纳热带植物园
博士毕业于波兰雅盖隆大学,现任职于中国科学院西双版纳热带植物园群落生态与保护研究组,Baiakhmetov博士的主要研究方向是将基因组数据和生物信息学工具应用于杂交和物种形成、系统发育重建以及高通量组学数据分析方面的研究,在数据分析和教学方面经验丰富。
Evgenii Baiakhmetov completed his PhD in Biology at Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland). The main research expertise of Dr. Baiakhmetov focuses on applying genomic data and bioinformatics tools in studies on hybridisation and speciation, phylogenetic reconstructions, as well as high-throughput omics data analyses. Dr. Baiakhmetov will coordinate the workshop from the XTBG side.

该培训班需要参培者具有一定的相关知识基础和经验。
(1)熟悉软件Linux,Bash和R(有一定基础)。
(2) 笔记本电脑能够访问服务器。计算资源(Ubuntu服务器)将由培训班提供。
This workshop requires participants to have a certain relevant knowledge base and experience.
(1) Be familiar with Linux + Bash + R (entry-level).
(2) Laptops to access server. Computational resources (Ubuntu Server) will be provided by the trainers.
