Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Khamphan Visits LMLECC
10月12日下午，老挝人民革命党中央政治局委员、政府副总理兼司法部部长坎潘·彭玛塔到访澜湄执法合作中心。尤小文秘书长，翁赛·潘塔翁、王钢副秘书长等热情接待坎潘副总理一行。
On the afternoon of October 12, Khamphan PHOMMATHATH, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of the Lao PDR, visited the Lancang-Mekong Integrated Law Enforcement and Security Cooperation Center (LMLECC). Secretary-General You Xiaowen, together with Deputy Secretaries-General Vongxay Phanthavong and Wang Gang, warmly received Deputy Prime Minister Khamphan and his delegation.
尤小文秘书长对老挝政府长期以来关心支持并积极参与澜湄执法合作中心工作表示感谢，介绍了澜湄执法合作中心的发展历程、使命定位、发展目标，以及近年来围绕建设“平安澜湄”所采取的措施和取得的成效，并希望老挝司法部门在助力澜湄区域执法合作方面发挥积极作用，合力推动构建澜湄命运共同体。
Secretary-General You Xiaowen extended his appreciation to the Lao government for its longstanding care, support, and active engagement in the work of the LMLECC. He briefed the delegation on LMLECC's development history, mission, strategic positioning, and future development goals, alongside key measures implemented and progress achieved in advancing the "Safe Lancang-Mekong" initiative in recent years. He expressed hope that Lao judicial authorities will play an active role in bolstering regional law enforcement cooperation, thereby jointly contributing to the building of a Lancang-Mekong community with a shared future.
坎潘副总理对澜湄执法合作中心的工作表示充分肯定，并感谢澜湄执法合作中心对老挝的各项支持。他指出，澜湄区域目前面临电信网络诈骗、人口贩运、跨境贩毒等诸多安全挑战，澜湄各国领导人都高度重视，强调要加强区域各国执法合作，希望澜湄执法合作中心积极回应澜湄区域各国需求，进一步完善区域执法合作机制，在解决区域突出安全问题上取得更大成绩；作为维护安全的重要组成部分，他愿推动老挝司法部门与澜湄执法合作中心加强沟通，探讨在机制和能力建设等方面的合作，构建维护区域安全的更大合力。
Deputy Prime Minister Khamphan fully affirmed the work of the LMLECC and expressed gratitude for its continued support to Laos. He pointed out that the Lancang-Mekong region currently faces various security challenges, including telecom and online fraud, human trafficking, and cross-border drug trafficking, to which leaders of all Lancang-Mekong countries attach great importance, underscoring the imperative to strengthen law enforcement cooperation across the region. He voiced the hope that the LMLECC would proactively respond to the needs of regional countries, further improve regional law enforcement cooperation mechanisms, and achieve greater milestones in resolving prominent regional security issues. Emphasizing that the judiciary is an integral component of safeguarding security, he stated his readiness to encourage closer communication between Lao judicial departments and the LMLECC to explore institutional and capacity-building cooperation, thereby forging a stronger collective synergy to safeguard regional security.
